For nearly 30 years, Jayshree has been involved in the field of education and has worked in varying capacities in several schools across India. During her last tenure, she was Head of Middle School at The Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Gurgaon, a premier educational institution widely known for its progressive curriculum and innovative teaching and assessment practices. At Heritage, Jayshree was one of the key members of the school team that led the school’s transformation process, transforming curriculum, pedagogy and assessments. Jayshree is extensively trained in student-centred, multi-disciplinary Expeditionary Learning Pedagogy (EL Education USA, eleducation.org) and has not only implemented Learning Expeditions with students in the classroom but has also trained teachers in this innovative pedagogy. As a certified Instructional Leader and a Cognitive Coach (certified by Thinking Collaborative, USA, thinkingcollaborative.com), she focussed on teacher empowerment by conducting professional development workshops, as well as teacher mentoring and coaching. Jayshree has also presented in the Experiential Learning Conclave organised by the Centre for Experiential Education in 2016 and 2017 while at the Heritage School.

She is currently an independent consultant with Adhyayan Quality Education Services and is the lead for the ASIST (Adhyayan School Improvement and Support Training) Programme. She is extensively involved in conducting professional development webinars and workshops for teachers and school leaders, both in-person and on virtual platforms. As an Adhyayan assessor for school reviews, she has travelled widely throughout the country and reviewed State Board, ICSE, CBSE and also International schools, close to 30 in number. Being an Adhyayan Lead Assessor, Jayshree leads assessor teams for school reviews and also supports school leadership in using evidence-based practices in their school improvement journeys.
