Lee is a dedicated educator with a rich academic background, holding a Master’s degree in English from Middlebury College, USA, a Master’s in History from Mumbai University, and a B.Ed. from Mumbai University. Professionally, Lee co-directs the ABL Rising Loaves Summer Programme in Lawrence, USA, designed for middle school students, and has made a significant impact through the creation and organization of international writing conferences. At The DJHSM, Lee spearheaded two week-long international conferences: the ABL Writing for a Better World Conference (2015) and the ABL Writing for Peace Conference (2018), as well as the unique DJHSM ABL Family Literacy Night on the theme “Moving Forward Together” in 2021.

With a passion for creative writing, Lee has led workshops at El Taller Arts (Lawrence, Boston, USA) in 2020 and at TSW (The School of Writing, Karachi, Pakistan) Re-Imagining Writing Conference in 2021. Lee has also served as a facilitator at several ABL International Conferences, including events in Karachi (2000), Tanzania (2002), and Kenya (2008).

Retiring from Diamond Jubilee High School, Mumbai, in 2022, where Lee headed the English Department, Lee embraced a variety of roles—from writing and directing annual musical plays to coaching volleyball. Lee’s dedication to education has been recognized with the 2017 Parisar Asha Best Educator Award and the 2017 NDTV Best English Teacher Award, West Zone. Lee further holds a postgraduate diploma in Integrated Personal Counselling from the Heart to Heart Institute of Human Technology.

Beyond the classroom, Lee works as a consultant and subject matter expert for English and Social Studies with the AQEF in Nagaland, serves as a consultant with Fidai Academy, and coordinates Andover Bread Loaf’s international meetings and programs. A lifelong learner and advocate for positive change, Lee is also a writer, animal rights activist, and intrepid traveler who lives life on Lee’s own terms—unapologetically and without regrets.
